Broadway Station is rich with history. The 900 South Broadway building was built in 1903 as an assembly plant for the Ford Motor Company. Designed by notable Detroit-based architect, Albert Kahn. Kahn was known for designing many industrial buildings of his era. More than 200,000 cars, including the Model T, were assembled in the building. Ford sold the building to the Gates Corporation in the 1940s. The 990 South Broadway building was built in 1984 and served as the administrative offices for Gates. Construction was complete on the four-story parking structure, which includes first floor office space, at 100 East Tennessee Avenue in 2008.
